Quantifi, a specialist provider of risk, analytics and trading solutions today announced it has formed an alliance with Intex Solutions Inc (“Intex”), a leading provider of structured fixed-income cash flow models. Through this partnership Quantifi is able to provide support for portfolios with significant exposures to structured finance.

The structured finance markets have undergone major change in recent years in response to regulatory reform, market structure and new technologies. These changes have influenced how investment firms approach securitized products. Requirements in terms of data quality, default models as well as the granularity and nature of scenario analysis have evolved significantly. A number of systems have not kept pace with the required levels of sophistication for managing the risk associated with structured finance products. Many investment firms have therefore relied on multiple systems to manage risk. This approach can cause operational strain and limit the ability to respond to risk in a timely manner. Quantifi’s partnership with Intex is designed to deliver sophisticated analytics within a single solution.

“Our partnership with Quantifi allows our common clients to seamlessly leverage Intex’s strong structured fixed income cashflow capabilities directly within Quantifi’s advanced risk management functionality. We are excited to offer this fully integrated solution to our mutual clients”

Jim Wilner, VP, Intex Solutions, Inc.

“Intex is widely seen as the market standard for complete and accurate structured fixed income cashflow models and analytics, covering all types of RMBS, ABS, CMBS and CLO securities issued in North America, Europe and elsewhere around the globe,” says Jim Wilner, VP at Intex Solutions, Inc. “Our partnership with Quantifi allows our common clients to seamlessly leverage Intex’s strong structured fixed income cashflow capabilities directly within Quantifi’s advanced risk management functionality. We are excited to offer this fully integrated solution to our mutual clients.”

This partnership offers portfolio and risk managers an integrated view of risk across their structured finance portfolio and other asset class instruments. Utilizing Quantifi’s scenario framework clients can assess the impact of interest rate and credit environments with full flexibility to target collateral assumptions and interface with preferred credit models. By cross-referencing Intex collateral with corporate positions held outside CLOs, Quantifi enables clients to identify issues across complete portfolios, and accurately calculate exposures and sensitivities. Clients can also calculate Value at Risk (VaR) across an entire portfolio. This partnership delivers several advantages spanning the front office and risk function by streamlining processes and eliminating the need to implement a specialised structured finance risk system.

“We look forward to building a strong relationship with Intex Solutions,” comments Rohan Douglas, CEO, Quantifi. “We are seeing increasing client demand for sophisticated structured finance analytics. The integration with Intex adds strong complementary functionality to our credit and interest rate capabilities by providing clients another dimension of their portfolio.” continues Rohan.
